Released: kq, a command-line tool that lets modders query a game installation, and kotor-formats, shared Rust readers and writers for the games' file formats. More tools are in development. ## Pages - [Kolto Labs](https://swkotor.org/): Tools for KotOR I & II: kq, Rust crates for GFF, 2DA and TLK, and Hyperstim, a script extender in development. Hyperstim, Adrenal and Kolto Tank are in development. - [Roadmap](https://swkotor.org/roadmap/): What has shipped and what comes next: Hyperstim, Adrenal, Kolto Tank and Hrakert. - [FAQ](https://swkotor.org/faq/): How to install kq, what it does, and which tools are in development. - [Credits and prior art](https://swkotor.org/credits/): The tools, people and communities Kolto Labs builds on: TSLPatcher, KotOR Tool, DeNCS, xoreos, Deadly Stream and more. ## Projects - [kq](https://github.com/kolto-labs/kq) (released; Rust; v0.3.0): Query a Knights of the Old Republic installation like it was plain text. kq treats a KotOR or TSL game folder as structured, searchable data. It reads the archives in place, so nothing gets extracted first. Questions work the way rg works on a source tree and jq works on JSON. Start with kq which: every copy of a resource in engine resolve order, with a star on the copy the game actually loads. - [kotor-formats](https://github.com/kolto-labs/kotor-formats) (released; Rust; v0.1.0): Readers and writers for the Odyssey engine file formats used by Knights of the Old Republic I and II. Three tools were each carrying their own copy of the KotOR I and II byte layouts, free to drift apart. These Rust crates are the one copy they all read from. Small on purpose, so each tool takes only what it needs: kotor-ncs-isa (the NCS instruction set as data), kotor-ncs (NCS read/write plus a decompiler built on the DeNCS algorithm), kotor-formats (GFF, 2DA, TLK, SSF, ERF/RIM) and kotor-diff (structural comparison). ## Watch the lab: not public yet - Hyperstim (in development; TBD): A script extender for KotOR and TSL. - Adrenal (in development; TBD): Scripting for KotOR and TSL mods. - Kolto Tank (in development; TBD): A test bench for mods. You bring your own copy of the game. - Hrakert (planned; TBD): A long-term project. - Ahto (planned; TBD): The Kolto Labs docs hub. This website is its first room. ## Notes - Source: https://github.com/kolto-labs
